I guess from a ROI standpoint, it makes more sense for the Twins to try and keep Guerrier, Rauch and Crain than to overpay Capps, lose Rauch and Crain and then have to fill their shoes with unproven rookies. I agree that Hudson, Pavano and Fuentes are pretty much guaranteed goners.

Former BS writer SR was asking me today if I thought the Twins might make a run at Grienke, I think I smell another blog post somewhere in there, thanks for the comment.Adam Kruegerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12460938738580518447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-652377080594581288.post-73189398372231617162010-10-19T14:23:03.790-04:002010-10-19T14:23:03.790-04:00Very nice break down of the free agent players for...Very nice break down of the free agent players for the Minnesota Twins.

I agree with everything you said except about Matt Capps. When GM Bill Smith traded top prospect Wilson Ramos to the Nationals for Capps he said the thing that was so appealing about him was he had another year left on his contract. This pretty much gurantees Capps will will return despite making somewhere between $7-9 million in arbitration. I would sign LH Brian Fuentes instead in a New York minute.

Hardy, Guerrier, and Capps will return, Pavano, Hudson, Crain, Rauch, Fuentes, and Thome are all gone.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
